**Job Title: Facility Fleet Mechanic**
**Job Description**
Candidates will be expected to perform preventive maintenance, service work, and repairs on fleet equipment, including forklifts, golf carts, reach trucks, 3-wheeled carts, electric carts, and AGVs. The role involves troubleshooting, diagnosing issues, and making necessary repairs. The position requires climbing ladders and using lifts. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, 40 hours a week, with heavy overtime on Saturdays and Sundays.
**Responsibilities**
+ Perform preventive maintenance on fleet equipment.
+ Conduct service work and repairs on forklifts, golf carts, reach trucks, 3-wheeled carts, electric carts, and AGVs.
+ Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with equipment.
+ Make necessary repairs and installations.
+ Order the correct parts needed for repairs.
+ Climb ladders and use lifts safely.
**Essential Skills**
+ 4+ years of forklift repair experience (Hyster, Crown, Alta, Yale, the person, Fraza).
+ Proficient in preventive maintenance and troubleshooting.
+ Skilled in electrical work, wiring, and hydraulics.
+ Experience with blueprint reading and installation.
+ Ability to diagnose issues and make necessary repairs.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Experience with industrial equipment.
+ Knowledge of conduit installation.

**Work Environment**
The job is located in a large industrial plant for electric vehicles. The position requires working in shifts: 1st shift (6am-2:30pm), 2nd shift (2pm-10:30pm), and 3rd shift (10pm-6:30am).
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Detroit, Michigan.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $35.00
