Candidates will be assigned to one of the buildings at a facility in Warren or Hamtramck. They will be expected to perform service work and repairs on HVAC equipment, troubleshoot and diagnose issues, and make necessary repairs. Work will be conducted on rooftops and within the facility, involving climbing ladders and using lifts. The position is full-time, Monday through Friday, with available shifts including a 2nd shift (2:00 PM - 10:30 PM) or 3rd shift (10pm - 6:30am).
ResponsibilitiesInstall, inspect, test, operate, and repair all refrigeration and related equipment for preserving food, making ice, cooling water, air conditioning, heating, and ventilation.Calibrate, repair, and maintain all pneumatic control systems and related equipment.Check, service, clean, and replace filters in all A/C air handling and heating units and document the same.Clean and maintain grills, ducts, and shaft ways in A/C, ventilating, and exhaust systems.Understand and demonstrate knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and refrigeration codes and practices, and coordinate work between/with other trades.Complete preventative maintenance as scheduled and keep records.Respond to any emergency repair/maintenance situation as required.Maintain critical inventory needed to keep operations running; maintain and account for tools used.Maintain a friendly, efficient, and positive attitude toward customers, clients, and co-workers.Essential SkillsCommercial or Industrial HVAC Service ExperienceState Certified Journeyman card holder or 8 years of experience with certified lettersTroubleshooting and making repairsExperience working on RTUs, chillers, water towers or cooling towers, VFDs, and boilersEPA CertifiedAdditional Skills & QualificationsMechanical skillsExperience with chilled water system analysis toolsBlueprint readingRepair and preventive maintenance experienceAir conditioning knowledge
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $72800.00 - $73840.00/yr.
