PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT
Under the supervision of the Distribution Center Manager, maintains the distribution center and equipment according to company established guidelines.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Performs scheduled preventative maintenance programs on all rolling equipment and warehouse machinery.
Troubleshoots and diagnoses problems or malfunctions with equipment. Performs or schedules necessary repairs as needed.
Maintains a log and documentation of all repairs and maintenance performed within the warehouse or on equipment.
Evaluates and recommends equipment improvements and/or replacements to increase efficiencies, capabilities and/or safety.
OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS
Orders maintenance material and supplies as needed to keep equipment in good repair.
Coordinates with the applicable service representatives if the maintenance to be performed is more than our general maintenance capabilities.
Follows GROWMARK’s Code of Conduct and Corporate Compliance Program, Environmental Health and Safety, OSHA and DOT policies and procedures, as they apply.
Performs all other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
Normally requires a high school diploma or the equivalent thereof, and 1-3 years of equipment repair or related work experience.
May occasionally be exposed to or required to work in conditions that may include dust, fumes, chemicals, and electrical hazards with appropriate safety measures.
May frequently be required to lift 51-70 lbs.
Must have a working knowledge of equipment and machinery operation including repair and maintenance procedures.
Must always have a high standard of safety consciousness.
Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.
Demonstrates essential abilities including business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision making and skill development.
Ability and willingness to participate in required training that may include education on GROWMARK’s policies and procedures and additional training as it relates to the requirements of the position.
