Facility Maintenance Supervisor
**Job Title: Facility Maintenance Supervisor** **Job Description** We are seeking a dedicated Facility Maintenance Supervisor to join our team. This role can be a direct hire or contract-to-hire position, depending on the candidate's skill level. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in electrical and HVAC systems, facility maintenance, vendor management, and supervisory roles. Proficiency in computer skills, particularly Microsoft Outlook, is essential. **Responsibilities** + Maintain, troubleshoot, or coordinate maintenance of facility HVAC, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and related equipment and systems to ensure reliability and efficiency. + Recommend and implement changes to improve facility operations and reduce costs. + Assist in the maintenance and modification of production equipment and systems, working with Production and Engineering departments. + Supervise the Facilities Maintenance Technician, including developing work schedules, task assignments, and providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations. + Develop and manage contracted maintenance services, ensuring agreements and schedules are current and work is performed properly. + Implement regulatory requirements for air and water, in coordination with the Safety and Environmental officer to ensure compliance. + Perform or direct the movement of furniture, materials, and equipment as required, ensuring safe and efficient relocation. + Be on call to assist in emergencies, coordinating with company representatives to ensure proper instruction and equipment preparation. + Develop and recommend maintenance cost forecasts for budgeting purposes and report recommendations to the Production Manager and General Manager. + Support and comply with corporate values as outlined in the Corporate Values and Expectations Handbook and the Management Systems Manual. + Complete on-the-job and specialized training as required, complying with company and area safety policies and practices. + Maintain awareness of job-related environmental impacts. + Answer work orders from the Computer Maintenance Management Software (CMMS) in a timely manner. + Repair or replace building fixtures such as exit signs, ballasts, plumbing, etc. + Maintain records and spare parts inventory, placing orders for necessary parts and supplies. + Operate all hand and power tools and tool room machinery. + Safeguard precision measuring instruments and all tools issued to the maintenance area. + Monitor and recommend improvements to the production area as needed. **Essential Skills** + 3-5+ years of facility maintenance experience + Experience with electrical systems, HVAC, and mechanical troubleshooting + Vendor management skills + Supervisory experience + Proficiency in using Microsoft Outlook + Ability to read blueprints and schematics + Experience with CMMS **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience with compressors, bearings, fans, pumps, and motors + 2-5 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing setting + Ability to manage time and prioritize work effectively + Strong verbal and written communication skills + Effective interpersonal skills to lead and motivate teams + Ability to lift 50 lbs frequently + Capability to make decisions independently + Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools + Ability to operate a forklift or scissor lift + Familiarity with working with cleaners, solvents, and lubricants **Why Work Here?** Join a team that values your expertise and offers a collaborative and supportive work environment. The role includes on-call status for maintenance-related issues outside of day shift hours and may occasionally require work outside regular hours due to the 24-hour operation.
