Facility Maintenance Tech
Duties/Responsibilities: · Perform functions as required relating to building maintenance. · Perform basic carpentry, plumbing, painting, and electrical tasks to maintain buildings. · Perform routine commercial HVAC preventive maintenance as required. · Perform roof maintenance. Inspect condition of roofs. Clean roof gutters and drains. · Move and relocate office furniture and equipment, adjust desks, chairs and files as needed. · Inspect and maintain facilities, buildings and grounds. Perform routine maintenance and light grounds keeping. · Document inspections, logs, and work orders manually and on a computer. · Run errands as needed. · Perform related duties as required. Required Skills/Abilities: · Basic knowledge of general building construction and maintenance. · Basic knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, painting, and electrical work. · Basic knowledge of commercial HVAC systems. · Ability to operate a variety of hand and power tools and equipment in a safe and effective manner. · Ability to recognize occupational hazards and follow standard safety practices. · Basic knowledge of English usage, spelling, grammar and punctuation. · Working knowledge of basic shop math. · Read and interpret building and mechanical blueprints and plans. · Understand and follow oral and written instructions. · Able to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing. · General computer skills (MS Windows, E-mail, MS Word, MS Excel, Google) Education and Experience: · High School diploma or equivalent. · Minimum 2 years of increasingly responsible general facilities maintenance experience or equivalent.
