Facility Maintenance Technician
MAU is hiring a Facility Maintenance Technician for our client in North Charleston, SC. As a Facility Maintenance Technician, you will perform all maintenance and operations of our medical device manufacturing facilities to ensure the smooth operation of all equipment and machinery in the facility. This is a direct-hire opportunity.

Benefits Package Competitive compensation package Health, dental, and vision insurance Life insurance Paid vacation Paid holidays Paid time off Opportunity for advancement Shift Information 1st and 2nd shift availability 2/2/3 schedule with a 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM (12-hour tour) and 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (consistent shift) Ability to work weekends and holidays Required Education and Experience High school diploma and any of the following: associate degree in a related field, successful completion of an accredited trade school, honorable discharge from military service with related field experience, and at least 5+ years of experience in a facility maintenance role, preferably in a medical device manufacturing facility 5 – 10+ years of experience in a maintenance role, preferably in a medical device manufacturing facility, biopharma, medical manufacturing facility, or as an Industrial Technician in a Plant Experienced in the following: Air Handling Units, Compressed Air System, Cooling Tower, Hot Water Boilers, Chillers, Heat Exchanger, Emergency Generator, and any other subsystem that will be used to support the manufacturing operation Experienced in the following: Customer Service, HVAC, Maintenance, Risk Assessment, Operations Management, Emergency Preparedness, Safety Procedures, Electrical, Hand Tools, Cleaning, Heat Exchanger Management, Air Compressor Management, Plumbing, Initiative, Flexibility, Teamwork, Organization General Requirements Strong knowledge of maintenance best practices, including preventative maintenance, predictive maintenance, and reliability-centered maintenance Working knowledge of the BMS (Building Management System) and EMS (Environmental Monitoring System) Knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements, including FDA regulations and ISO standards Knowledge in 6S applications Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex maintenance issues Ability to work independently and make decisions with minimal supervision Preferred Requirements Experience working with fully automated assembly machines and robotics Good leadership skills and experience Excellent in troubleshooting, analyzing, solving problems with various electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic controls, and systems Strong knowledge of maintenance best practices: preventative maintenance, predictive maintenance, and reliability-centered maintenance Knowledge of local, state, and federal applicable regulations Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex maintenance issues Ability to work independently and make decisions with minimal supervision Team player and willing to adjust in a changing environment with duties Can-do mentality, willing to do what it takes, and committed to continuously learning and improving Essential Functions Support facility buildout for commissioning and qualification activities Follow all OSHA and EPA safety guidelines Manage outside contractors Provide operational support to facility services, engineering, manufacturing, research & development, and other departments Support facility investigations to help determine deviation, root causes, recommended immediate mitigation, and long-term preventative strategies Operate all facility systems equipment in the entire campus and manage the workload to support the whole operation Identify spare parts requirements, support staff, and maintain operational records Solve a wide range of difficult issues that impact multiple functions following standard procedures by applying basic theory and technical principles Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical failure up to 480V Interface with the Facilities, Engineering, and Capital Project Management, Quality/Assurance, Quality Control, Regulatory Compliance, EH&S, and Manufacturing Execute and complete all preventive, predictive, and unscheduled maintenance Complete paperwork in a timely manner, following all cGMP documentation guidelines Respond to alarms and evaluate incidents involving mechanical, electrical, and system controls Assist in the completion of Quality Assurance Change Control Ensure that all relevant SOPs and operating parameters are followed as well as maintenance activities are properly documented utilizing SAO Perform JSA in maintenance area Execute any work orders in the field Make recommendations to help simplify and facilitate ongoing maintenance repair Regularly interact with the facility team and stakeholders; this includes performing PMs on production and utilities Perform preventive maintenance and equipment servicing according to Standard Operating Procedures; provide recommendations for system upgrades Submit appropriate change request to correct any deficiencies discovered during PM execution Understand the Confine Space Entry, LOTO, and any other Safety protocols Minimize breakdowns and repairs (perform quality checks of all machinery, tools, equipment, etc.) Support Facility maintenance, shutdown during holidays, and off hours Perform other tasks as assigned Physical Demands
