As an active member of our work team, you will perform skilled and semi-skilled work in the installation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical, electrical, HVAC, security and structural systems and elements of County buildings and facilities. This position will be responsible for work related to our Operations Division. PLEASE NOTE: This position performs maintenance, repair, and construction at all facilities across Clark County which could include detention facilities, court facilities, family/youth/recreation facilities, rural locations, coroner’s office and morgue, and campus locations. This position could also be subject to shift work that includes nights, evenings, and weekends. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Education and Experience: Equivalent to graduation from high school AND six (6) years of full-time skilled experience in the installation, maintenance and repair of building operating systems and facilities. Successful completion of a recognized apprenticeship as an electrician; plant, HVAC or facility mechanic or in a related field may be substituted for four (4) years of the required experience. Attendance at a recognized trade school is desirable. All qualifying education and each experience must be clearly documented in the “Education” and “Work Experience” sections of the application.
