Your Role:

 

The Facility Maintenance Technician at MilliporeSigma in Sheboygan will assist with facility or maintenance activities at the site. You will have the opportunity to participate in a State certified Maintenance Technician Apprenticeship program upon approval from department management. Duties and responsibilties include:

 

Maintain and repair equipment, facilities, and utility systemsComplete corrective and preventive maintenance work ordersIdentify and report unsafe work conditions Familiarity with the Management of Change Process for changesGenerate process improvement solutionsConduct miscellaneous duties and tasks as assigned Read, understand, and follow work instructions and proceduresOperate a forklift and a man liftRead, redline, and understand all types of drawings/schematics including gauges and units of measure, materials of construction and chemical compatibilityOperate hand tools, power tools, and basic shop tools (grinder, drill press, sand blaster, band saw, etc.) and identify parts needed for repairTroubleshoot, maintain and repair mechanical systems, EHS equipment and systems, electrical power and control circuits up to 120 V., boilers, chillers, HVAC and air handling systemsMake decisions and resolve problems (analyze alternatives, evaluate risks, etc.)Future participation in possible weekend work rotation Perform work related travel as necessaryUse excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills to conduct Maintenance tasksShift/Hours: 3rd shift, 11:00 PM - 7:30 AM, Sun - Thu

 

Who You Are:

 

Minimum Qualifications

 

High School Diploma6+ months of hands-on maintenance experience 

 

Preferred Qualifications

 

1+ year of hands-on maintenance experience including preventive & predictive maintenance1+ year of experience maintaining electrical and mechanical systemsAssociate degree in applicable fieldExemplary attendance and adherence to schedule, accept responsibility, meet deadlines and contribute to department goals Excellent verbal and written communication skills including good documentation practicesExcellent cleanliness, organizational, and 6S skillsExcellent self-motivation and productivity skillsAbility to collaborate with other departmentsKnowledge of CMMS Systems
