PRINCIPAL DUTIES:
Perform PM’s, troubleshooting, basic repairs, adjustments, and installations to mechanical equipmentTechnicians must be capable of responding to a variety of calls such as, but not limited to, hot/cold issues, general plumbing, light carpentry work, basic electrical, piping repairs, lighting issues, minor leaks while demonstrating strong customer service skillsResponds to building system alarms and problems to minimize equipment or system damage and potential downtimeMaintain and operate fire and life safety systems such as fire alarm systems, fire pumps and related fire protection system equipment as assignedResponsible for the maintenance and appearance of the entire facility including all systems and equipmentEnsure that preventative maintenance and corrective work orders assigned are completed and closed out in compliance with the provided scheduleComply with company policies and safety requirements/programsREQUIREMENTS:
High School graduate, GED, or equivalent experienceCertificate or degree in facility maintenance or equivalent experience in a commercial facility environment preferredMust have flexibility to work overtime and be included in the “on-call” scheduled rotation, as dictated by the needs of the facilityAble to use hand tools, test equipment and ability to read schematicsAble to understand basic systems operations, respond to equipment alarms, and troubleshoot equipment failuresMust be able to use personal computers, building automation systems, CMMS, and Microsoft OfficeAbility to effectively communicate to management and client representativesCERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
Must possess or be willing to obtain EPA Universal CertificateMust possess or be willing to obtain certificate or degree in facility maintenance; equivalent experience considered.Must possess a valid driver's licenseBackflow Preventer testing certification, Underground Storage Tank certification, Infrared Certification, and Metasys or similar BAS training are a plusPHYSICAL DEMANDS:
