The following position is to join our RTX Corporate, Enterprise Services, Research Center or BBN team:
We have an opportunity for a highly motivated Facility Maintenance Technician to join very dynamic program in a world-class operations facility. In this role, you will make an impact by providing operational support and facilities maintenance. Your primary responsibilities will include on-going preventative maintenance schedule, routine to troubleshooting, and required repair services.
You will work independently and as part of a team on a wide variety of tasks. You will assess circumstances and conditions to determine appropriate technical solutions in accordance with manufacturer recommendations, client specifications, applicable codes, and industry standards. You will present recommendations to and follow guidance from the supervisor and/or client through to the completion of the task. Other site duties, as required outside of trade, in support of specific mission related taskings will also be required.
As a Facilities Maintenance team member, duties will include planning and performing maintenance work orders and providing technical/repair assistance to facility technicians as required. Responsibilities will also include inputting and extracting data from the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS),
This position is an on-site role, and the selected candidate would need to be located within reasonable commuting distance of the RTX Dulles facility.
JOB DESCRIPTION
What you will do:
General maintenance - perform maintenance service or repairs in areas of plumbing, carpentry, painting, plastering, machine servicing, furniture moving, clean-up. HVAC - Assist with Installs, troubleshooting and repair of heating, ventilating, and air conditioning systems. Ensures preventative maintenance is performed per established schedules. Electrical – Assist with repairs, installations of electrical circuits, equipment, and appliances. Uses hand tools and testing instruments. Inspects, tests and repairs electrical equipment, lighting, switches, motors, etc. Continuous Improvement - Participate in future site design modifications and upgrades. Analyze data to support design efforts for expansion capabilities or improve efficiencies. ResponsibilitiesPlanning and performing maintenance work ordersproviding technical/repair assistance to facility technicians as requiredThis role requires the ability to work 8–10-hour shifts. Weekend work is occasionally required. Requires the ability to support overtime/ nights if business, schedule, or emergency situations ariseInputting and extracting data from the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS),Follow all internal EHS guidelines and achieve a “zero-injury” workplace.Ability to report to work during business hours. You must be willing and available to work overtime, Holidays and weekend overtime as needed or as scheduled.Qualifications You Must Have
This position requires a HS Diploma or AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.At least 4 years experience working with Electrical, HVAC, Mechanical, Plumbing Systems, tools, equipment, codes and safety procedures including broad knowledge of building infrastructures related to electrical-mechanical maintenance activities. Current Valid Driver's License
Qualifications We Prefer:
Must have experience working cross-functionally with leadership, customers, and technicians.Experience in a CMMS system, MS Office or related.Certification and/or licensure as an electrician, plumber, HVAC technicianAbility and desire to function in a challenging, fast paced, team setting.Highly computer literate and solid ability to learn computer applications.Ability to work well within a team and to foster teamwork with both external and internal customers.Location/Type: On site

The salary range for this role is 44,000 USD - 92,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
