Facility Maintenance Technician (Tu-F 8a-4p/Sat 6a-2p)

Install, maintain, and repair machinery, equipment, physical structures, plumbing, and electrical systems while adhering to all regulatory and company safety standards, policies, and procedures. This is an entry-level position with hands-on training provided to help develop the skills needed for growth within the maintenance team.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Perform routine preventative maintenance and minor repairs on facility infrastructure, including plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC, and exterior grounds, under leadership supervision.Conduct inspections and basic maintenance of building systems to ensure proper functionality and compliance with safety regulations.Assist in maintaining and repairing facility lighting, doors, dock levelers, and other structural components.Operate power tools and basic maintenance equipment to perform tasks such as minor carpentry, painting, and general facility upkeep.Support material handling equipment maintenance and refrigeration system inspections as needed.Utilize onsite motorized lifts and rental equipment while maintaining and inspecting facility assets.Complete additional maintenance tasks as assigned.

Minimum Requirements (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities):

Trade school coursework or some experience in industrial building maintenance, material handling equipment maintenance, or industrial refrigeration maintenance preferred.Ability to complete routine preventative maintenance with instruction and supervision.Proficiency in using power and hand tools for basic repairs and maintenance tasks.Basic computer skills for logging maintenance work and accessing facility systems.Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask.Ability to communicate effectively and work with all levels of facility staff.Comfortable working in varying temperatures, from -20°F in cold storage to 100°F in dry storage, with appropriate PPE.Capable of lifting at least 50 lbs. and working at heights if required.Flexible work schedule, including weekends.
