Facility Manager
Overview: The Facility Manager is responsible for the overall management of a facility, ensuring it operates efficiently, safely, and in alignment with organizational goals. This role includes overseeing maintenance, space planning, vendor management, and compliance with health and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

Facility Operations:

- Manage day-to-day operations of the facility, ensuring a safe and functional environment.
- Conduct regular inspections to identify maintenance and safety issues.

Maintenance Management:

- Coordinate repair and maintenance activities.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs.

Vendor and Contractor Management:

- Liaise with external vendors for maintenance, cleaning, and security services.
- Negotiate contracts and manage vendor performance.

Budgeting and Financial Management:

- Prepare and manage the facility budget, monitoring expenses and ensuring cost-effectiveness.
- Provide regular financial reports and forecasts.

Space Planning and Management:

- Optimize space utilization and manage facility layouts.
- Coordinate space modification, moves, expansions, or renovations.

Safety and Compliance:

- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations regarding safety and environmental standards.
- Develop and implement emergency response plans and safety protocols.

Sustainability Initiatives:

- Promote and implement sustainability practices within the facility.
- Monitor and report on energy consumption and waste management.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in facilities management, engineering, or a related field preferred.
- Proven experience in facility management or a similar role.
- Strong understanding of building systems, maintenance practices, and safety regulations.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills.

Skills:

- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work under pressure.

Work Environment: This position typically involves working in a retail environment, with occasional on-call responsibilities for emergencies or after-hours issues.

- Minimum 40 hours per week
- On-call for emergencies as required
