GovCIO is currently hiring for a dedicated and experienced Facility Manager to oversee the daily operations and management of our facility. The ideal candidate will coordinate the initial buildout with Hunt Midwest and work with local vendors to configure essential services. Once the facility is operational, the Site Manager will manage its day-to-day operations, ensuring a smooth and efficient working environment. This position will be located in SubTropolis Complex in Kansas City, MO and will be an onsite position. Core hours of operation will be Monday to Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM CT.
ResponsibilitiesPlans utilization of space and facilities for Company consistent with requirements for efficiency, and available facilities and funds. Plans, directs and manages all phases of equipment and machinery maintenance, facilities modification and building projects from the design concepts through implementation. Ensures project requirements are defined, contract and contract changes are negotiated, operating budgets established, and financial terms/conditions of contract are identified. Keeps in compliance with and abreast of all OSHA regulations. Manages the Receiving function. Oversees the work of other employees.
Manages and implements energy management/utility consumption improvement programs.Performs environmental hazard management/planning and remediation.Establishes and maintains equipment and system standards. Issues RFP's to contractors for equipment and systems maintenance.Explores and solicits alternative options for products and services to maintain high standards at corporate office and opportunities to reduce budgetary expenses.Oversees construction and renovation projects to improve efficiency and to ensure that facilities meet environmental, health, and security standards, and comply with government regulations.Onsite Presence: Be onsite daily to oversee facility operations and address any issues promptly.Initial Buildout Coordination:Collaborate with Hunt Midwest on the facility's initial buildout.Work with local vendors to set up and configure essential services including ISP, phones, and security systems.Support Facility Inspections: Assist in preparing for and supporting facility inspections as required.Day-to-Day Operations Management:Oversee staff badge issuance and management.Collaborate with GovCIO IT to procure system access for staff.Manage facility resources such as the break room, rest rooms, and other areas.Coordinate maintenance and cleaning services to ensure the facility remains in top condition. QualificationsRequired Skills and Experience
Bachelor's in Business Administration, Facilities Management, or a related field preferred with 8-12 years of commensurate experience Minimum of 3 years of experience in facilities management or a related field.Proven experience managing vendor relationships and coordinating installations of services.Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Clearance Required: Suitability/Public Trust

Posted Pay Range
The posted pay range, if referenced, reflects the range expected for this position at the commencement of employment, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and internal equity. The total compensation package for this position may also include other compensation elements, to be discussed during the hiring process. If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the GovCIO reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, GovCIO or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
