Job Summary:
Oversees and directs large plant operations in Acuna, Coahuila, Mx location including production and manufacturing, maintenance, engineering support, safety, regulatory compliance, distribution and warehousing, with responsibility of around 1600 employees. Facility core process is welding manufacturing components for Electric Trucks, Motor Graders, Mining Trucks, Wheel Tractor Scrapers and Large Wheel loaders.
What You Will Do:
Directing all aspects of manufacturing operations for the plant or facility in order to produce cost-effective, timely and high-quality products in a safe, secure and sanitary working environment
Managing development, implementation and continual improvement of the operating methods, equipment, systems and other operating infrastructure used to realize operating goals and objectives
Directing development of production work schedules to meet internal goals and customer expectations; monitoring process and personnel performance of scheduled work activities to remove operating impediments and achieve established operating goals
Ensuring customer satisfaction, developing and maintaining processes, managing the operating systems and maintaining the facility. Must meet key indicators, demonstrating improvement in cost reduction, asset turns, period costs and total employment
Overseeing programs and practices for hiring, performance management and developing/training the personnel that perform and support the plant operating functions
Education requirement:
Bachelor’s degree in an Engineer area. Desired Master’s degree
What skills you will have:
Manufacturing Safety:
Promotes workplace safety among supervisors and workers; communicates safety rules and regulations
Performs safety inspections to assure compliance with OSHA requirements
Assesses and reports unusual or new safety hazards or violations; initiates corrective action
Manufacturing Operations:
Knowledge of welding process, desired in manufacturing and / or components
Ability to apply methodologies of Lean Manufacturing
Knowledge of technology 4/0 to implement in Manufacturing process
Builds a monitoring system to track manufacturing operation activities.
Sets and oversees all operational routines for departments and staff.
Designs strategies to minimize machinery problems and safety risks within the organization
Develops plans for movement of products through lines to processing, storage, and shipping units.
Quality Management:
Communicates key benefits of a quality management process
Develops quality assurance processes based on Six Sigma, ISO 9000 principles.
Develops programs for motivating employees to meet or exceed quality goals
Manufacturing Standards, Procedures and Policies:
Consults on development and implementation of cross-functional standards
Participates in the development of organizational policies and practices
Ensures communication vehicles are effectively informing policies and practices to all employees

Domestic relocation assistance is available for this position.
This position will than less 10% travel.
English is required to maintain effective communications with teams outside of Mexico
