FACILITY MANAGER I Date: Dec 27, 2024 Req ID: 45962 Location: WASHINGTON, AR, US, 71862 Category: DEPT OF PARKS AND TOURISM Anticipated Starting Salary: $32,405 Facility Manager II (VIC/Gift Shop) Position #: 22092066 Salary: $32,405 Grade: GS05 Requisition: 45962 Location: Historic Washington State Park, Washington, AR Closing date: 01/10/2024 This position supervises employees, greets visitors, and provides assistance, makes reservations, maintains inventory of supplies and equipment, operates a cash register, verifies receipts, daily closeout procedures, and some custodial duties. Other duties include preparing work schedules, approving leave requests, counseling, and disciplining employees, completing performance appraisals and maintaining employee files, and other duties as assigned. Must be able to work a varied work schedule including some evenings, weekends, and holidays. Knowledge of bookkeeping procedures, buying items for resale and managing business operations are preferred. This position is governed by state and federal laws and agency/institution policy. Functions Inventories, orders, and receives supplies for the facility and maintains inventory control records. Prepares and completes business activity reports and balances cash receipts daily. Maintains business records, files, and books. Coordinates facility activities with other departments and the general public. Supervises and directs the activities of full and part-time employees and plans work schedule. Greets customers, explains services and prices, and makes special arrangements for customers upon request. Provides information and assistance to customers including collecting money and making change. Operates and maintains facility equipment, performs basic maintenance on facility, and arranges for major maintenance and repairs. Performs other duties as assigned. Dimensions None Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Knowledge of inventory control, purchasing and procurement procedures, and customer service. Knowledge of bookkeeping principles. Ability to assign and coordinate work activities and to monitor the performance of co-workers and/or subordinates. Ability to prepare reports and maintain records and files. Ability to greet customers, make sales, and balance cash receipts. Ability to clean and maintain work area and equipment. Minimum Qualifications The formal education equivalent of a high school diploma; plus three years of experience in business, marketing, or a related field. Additional requirements determined by the agency for recruiting purposes require review and approval by the Office of Personnel Management.
