**Job Title: Facility Technician**
**Job Description**
Candidates will be assigned to a factory where they will perform service work and repairs on facility equipment. They will need to troubleshoot and diagnose issues, then make the necessary repairs. Work will be performed on rooftops and within the facility, requiring the use of ladders and lifts. The position involves a 40-hour work week with various shifts, including the need for shift flexibility to accommodate union requirements. Once direct, duties will include rigging, moving equipment, welding, dolly repairs, and dock and door plate installations and repairs.
**Responsibilities**
+ Maintain a friendly, efficient, and positive customer service attitude toward customers, clients, and co-workers.
+ Anticipate and respond to customer needs.
+ Inspect assigned areas on a routine basis and perform maintenance to keep the facility in functioning and serviceable condition.
+ Complete daily, weekly, or monthly checklists of pre-scheduled building and equipment maintenance procedures.
+ Repair and maintain plumbing, replace defective washers, mend broken pipes, and open clogged drains.
+ Report major maintenance needs and recommend corrective actions as appropriate.
+ Adhere to safety policies and procedures.

+ Experience in installations and making repairs
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Repairing mechanical devices, chain repair and link additions, shock repair and replacement, safety hook welds, and caster repairs

**Work Environment**
The work environment is a large industrial GM plant dedicated to electric vehicles. The role requires working on rooftops, climbing ladders, and using lifts, with shifts that include 1-3rd shift from 10:00 PM to 6:30 AM, and AWS shifts on Monday and Friday from 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM, and on Saturday and Sunday from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM.

This is a Permanent position based out of Detroit, Michigan.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $72800.00 - $72800.00
Union benefits, UAW, healthcare, retirements, 401k, lots of paid holidays, time off when the plant is shutdown.
Diret hire, Union after 90 days, great benefits. Opportunity to get hired into GM after 2-3 years. GM likes to pluck people from Aramark.
