Leidos is looking for a Facility Operations Specialist at White Sands Missile Range in New Mexico to perform a variety of duties to ensure the optimal utilization of government facilities consistent with requirements of efficiency, and cost effectiveness to support experiments for high-energy laser testing events. You will get to work alongside a multi-disciplinary team, in collaboration with Government researchers doing fun experiments in a laboratory and field-testing environments. You will be at the forefront of new and defining research in facilities operations include the processes, tools, and assets that are required for a facility to fully perform as it is supposed to. Facility operations includes the day-to-day operations of the facility, as well executing test support, maintenance and system improvement needs.
Maintain an inventory of physical assets and the management of those assetsTracking the maintenance of facilities and physical assets, from preventative maintenance to scheduled maintenance and to emergency repairs.Knowledge and use of computer systems for utilizing and operation facilities.Able to analyze issues, planning, and make recommendations in adjustments to support operational functions.Prepare and equip facility for OSHA/EPA/Fire periodic audits.Comply with corporate and OSHA regulations associate with hazardous materials and safety.Perform mechanical and electrical installations and repairs.Fabricate materials utilizing machine tools and welders.Basic Qualifications
10 years’ experience in specific area or a BA and 4 years in specific area.Understanding and experience with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Army regulations, Precision Measurement Equipment Laboratory (PMEL)/Test Measurement & Diagnostics Equipment (TMDE) instructions, and HazMat processes.Facility maintenance experience including upgrades and modifications.Experience with hardware systems and or remote testing on complex systems.Ability to set up experiments, run tests and collect data.Computer proficiency using MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.Must have strong oral and written communication skills. Machine shop operations of Lathe, Mills, and welders.Ability to move materials and test articles via trucks and trailers (non-CDL)Current DoD Secret Clearance is required for considerationPreferred Qualifications

Pay Range:Pay Range $72,150.00 - $130,425.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
