Your Opportunity at SECURE

The Facility Operator position is responsible for the day-to-day safe and customer service-oriented operations of waste treatment, oil treatment and water injection. The Operator will actively assist with standard operating procedures, hazard assessments, safety programs and environment protection. The Operator will be in constant contact with customers and must demonstrate excellent communications skills and a high level of customer service.

Work Environment

This position is a 12-hour shift with 7 days on and 7 days off, alternating between days and nights located at our Keene Full-Service Terminal. 

A Day in The Life

The responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to: 

Responsible and accountable for the day-to-day operation of the facilityResponsible for truck unloading, oil emulsion and water & vac trucksResponsible for oil treating with the treater, cooler or tank treatingParticipating in waste processing, waste and mud tank operation, shaker & centrifuge operations and solids treatingResponsible and accountable for the receipt, terminal storage and transportation of crude oil while adhering to Measurement & Crude Oil Quality complianceManaging ongoing water injection, filter changing and pump maintenanceConducting treatment of solids on the waste padConducting boiler operations, testing and steam system operationsEnsuring that all corporate compliance programs are adhered toSubmitting truck tickets summary, daily plant checklists, and balance and transfers to the officeParticipates in the Health & Safety Management System (HSMS)Waste plant operation (ensuring solids processing is meeting or exceeding landfill criteria and solids testing)Following water injection SOP’s and best practices to protect the disposal well integrityGeneral maintenance, ensure that the plant is kept clean and safe Skills, Experience & Qualifications

The successful candidate will have:

 

A High School Diploma, General Education Diploma or equivalentHaving a minimum of 3 years of operational experience in waste processing, oil treating, or water injection is considered an asset.Considered a strong asset, midstream terminal operations experience is highly valued.Considered a strong asset, specialty training in boilers, treaters, pumps (all), repairs, shaker/centrifuge, and loader is highly valued.Experience with various plant processes, including safety operations, oil treating and blending, waste processing, and water disposal, is beneficialCurrent and valid safety tickets, including H2S Alive, First Aid Level One C, Confined Space Entry, WHIMS and TDGA strong attention to detail, communication skills with the ability to work long hours in a mentally and physically demanding work environmentMust be able to document their work, perform and manage cross shift communication and ensure strategic communication with multiple stakeholdersMust be able to multi-task and demonstrate excellent decision-making skills with the ability to troubleshoot issuesMust demonstrate excellent customer service skills and safe work practicesA valid and acceptable Driver’s license and successful completion of Pre-employment testing What's in it for you At SECURE, we prioritize growth and improvement for our employees, customers, partners, and communities.
