Facility Payor Credentialing Coordinator
**Overview** Under the direction of Member Processing & Credentialing Manager, the Facility Payor Credentialing Coordinator manages and coordinates facility credentialing of Novant Health Facilities as well as maintains and updates, upgrades and functions of the Choice Health, Inc Credentialing Database. Performs facility credentialing and re-credentialing services in compliance with Commercial Managed Care organizations and Government Payors. Responsible for creating and maintaining all facility credentialing files for the Novant Health Facilities. The purpose of this role is to ensure Revenue distributions to Novant Health for services rendered. Assumes leadership role in the implementation and maintenance of the Choice Health Credentialing database; oversees and participates in the maintenance, and implementation of the systems that manage an internal database while ensuring high levels of data availability. Installs, implements, and provides technical support for application software and configures systems and application software for optimal performance, recoverability and availability. Ensure the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of the information systems that support core organizational functions. This is achieved by monitoring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing all networked software and associated operating systems. Apply proven communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to help identify, communicate, and resolve issues in order to maximize the benefit of the application systems investment. Performs provider credentialing and re-credentialing services in compliance with Choice Health policies and procedures, the guidelines of the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA), Utilization Review Accreditation Commission (URAC), the legal requirements of the NC, SC, & VA Department of Insurance, as well as all other applicable State and Federal Laws. Perform primary source verification on all credentials, both facility and physician. Ensure maintenance of Choice Health physician credentials and Novant Health facilities with contracted managed care organizations and government payors. Assist in Preparations for Choice Health Credentialing Committee meetings. Assists Choice Health Member Processing & Credentialing Manager with the development and implementation of Credentialing policies and procedures. Provides support to physicians and practice manager in the application and credentialing process and acts as liaison with managed care organizations, self-insured businesses, insurance companies and Choice Health members. High School Diploma or equivalent, required; or Associates or Bachelor's degree preferred + **Experience:** Minimum of 5 years' experience in performing credentialing services either of a medical facility, physician office, managed care company, or insurance company or equivalent, required. + **Licensure/Certification:** CPCS, preferred. + **Additional Skills (required):** Proficiency in computer word processing, spreadsheets and database applications. Effective verbal, non-verbal and written communication skills. Skills in establishing and maintaining effective relationships with Senior Management and Leaders within Novant Health, physicians, practice management, and insurance/governmental agency representatives. Strong organizational skills, ability to adhere to deadlines and protocols. Ability to work under pressure and react calmly and effectively in difficult situations. Ability to learn and maintain knowledge of applicable governmental regulations and protocols. Ability to perform in a fast-paced, multi-task environment with flexibility as needed. Ability to be a team player and take initiative. Ability to work under deadlines and heavy workloads. Ability to work with all levels of healthcare personnel from top management to entry level clerks throughout the organization. Ability to take action on a suggested approach within guidelines of standards and procedures. Ability to be flexible and quickly change priorities is critical.
