Facility Security Officer II - Part Time
**Purpose and Scope:** Administers and assures compliance with security regulations and procedures in accordance with DoD guidelines. Directs and advises all departments regarding security regulations and procedures. Routinely interacts with Government agencies relative to security matters. **Essential Responsibilities:** 1) Supervise and train security personnel in the areas of document control, personnel clearance processing, and visitor control. 2) Manage and maintain the classified document data base. 3) Manage and maintain the personnel clearance data base. 4) Ensure adherence to regulations for generation, transfer, storage and handling of classified materials. 5) Develop, implement and maintain Security related procedures for the program 6) Plan and coordinate security services and related functions including the implementation and supervision of programs to ensure maximum utilization within the facility. Perform all other duties as assigned or requested. **Minimum Position Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:** An Associate’s Degree or years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. Must have at least 3 years DoD security related experience. Must have Contract Special Security Officer (CSSO) Certification. Have or be able to obtain Industrial Security Management Certification. Microsoft Office Proficient. Position may require travel. Must have a Top-Secret clearance with polygraph. **Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Mental Demands:** Typical office environment with no unusual hazards, occasional lifting to 20 pounds, constant sitting while using the computer terminal, constant use of sight abilities while reviewing documents, constant use of speech/hearing abilities for communication, constant mental alertness, must posses planning/organizing skills, and must be able to work under deadlines. **Other Responsibilities:** Safety - Amentum enforces a safety culture whereby all employees have the responsibility for continuously developing and maintaining a safe work environment.
