As a Factory Automation & Connected Manufacturing Manager, you will join a highly skilled and collaborative team that thrives on creating impactful improvements across multi-site manufacturing environments. About the position: We are looking for a dynamic and innovative Factory Automation & Connected Manufacturing Manager to lead and drive the transformation of our manufacturing operations into the next generation of connected, automated, and intelligent production systems. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing the automation infrastructure and ensuring seamless integration across all production lines, systems, and technologies. Your focus will be on enabling real-time data-driven decision-making through the deployment of cutting-edge automation and connected manufacturing solutions to allow for enhancing operational efficiency and minimizing downtime. As a key player in our digital transformation journey, you will work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, IT, production, and R&D, to ensure that our manufacturing processes are automated, interconnected, and aligned with our strategic goals for Industry 4.0. You will also oversee the integration of IoT devices, robotics, and smart factory technologies to improve production processes, increase flexibility, and ensure high-quality standards. The ideal candidate will bring a strong combination of technical expertise in factory automation, excellent project management skills, and a passion for innovation. Expected Travel – 25% between sites. About You: * Bachelor’s Degree in Automation, Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical, or Mechatronics Engineering * 8 + years of experience in factory automation, industrial control systems or connected manufacturing environments * 3 + years of Engineering Management and/or Leadership experience It would be great if you had: * Experience with: Inductive Automation Ignition 8.x, SQL, PowerBI/Tableau, Highbyte, Docker/Containerization * Familiar with machine learning and predictive maintenance techniques; cybersecurity principles in connected manufacturing systems * Hands-on experience with advanced robotics (e.g., cobots, automated guided vehicles) and their integration into manufacturing processes * Working knowledge of digital transformation tools (e.g., MES, ERP integration, data analytics) and how they interface with automation systems * Experienced with change management and leading the adoption of new technologies in a manufacturing environment * Familiar with augmented reality (AR) or virtual reality (VR) tools for maintenance, training, or process optimization About the total compensation package: Salary - $125,000 to $187,550 per year. Compensation depends on the selected candidate’s education and experience. Relocation – This position may qualify for relocation.
