Factory Hygienist Supervisor

We know that empowerment leads to strong employee engagement, a great work culture, and motivated employees. **What to expect** As the **Factory Hygienist** , you will be responsible for promoting and leading initiatives related to food safety and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) throughout the organization. Your role will involve ensuring that all employees are trained and aware of food safety protocols and GMP standards. Additionally, you will oversee the maintenance of food system management practices to ensure compliance and uphold the highest standards of hygiene and safety within the factory environment. **A day in the life of a Factory Hygienist** + Leads factory food safety team + Oversees Pest Control Management, Allergen Management, Food Defense, Food Fraud, Environmental & Pathogen Monitoring, Pre-Requisite Program, etc. + Evaluates cleaning/sanitation effectiveness to prevent microbiological, allergenic, … contaminations + Ensures functioning Master Sanitation Schedules (MSS) are in place + Liaises Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s) + Coordinates internal GMP inspections - Ensures the closure of findings + Represents quality and food safety in capital project meetings + Conducts extended run validation studies to help factory important measures (e.g. Asset Intensity) while ensures food safety requirements are met + Coach employees on everybody’s role and impact on food safety + Review internal GMP inspection findings and follow-up with involved functions to ensure timely completion + Ensure cascade of emerging threats and trends in food safety topics and strategies to mitigate risks + Support the quality failures analysis and Manufacturing Excellence initiatives to eliminate the defects related to food safety + Support problem solving and solution development during incident investigation with regard to food safety + Ensure audit readiness for food safety audits **Role Requirements** + University graduate or equivalent (preferred microbiology or related degree) + Experience as a hygienist in a food factory is an asset + Experience with hygienic design is an asset + Demonstrated competence as Team member in a factory: Quality, Production Support, Application Group + Experience with working in unionized environments is an asset + Experience in successfully implementing food safety programs as: Participating in project teams, Leading part of a change effort, Participating in audit teams and/or improvement projects with more senior staff members **Benefits** + Comprehensive total rewards benefits package including Health and Dental benefits that start on day one of employment + Company matched pension plan + Three weeks of Vacation and five personal days (Personal Paid Holidays) + Flexible and hybrid work arrangements + Excellent training and development programs as well as opportunities to grow within the company + Access to Educational Assistance & Tuition Reimbursement + Bonus eligibility + Gender affirmation benefits to ensure access to necessary care, resources, and coverage for gender-affirming procedures + Fertility Services and Surrogacy Medical Coverage to support the pursuit of a path to parenthood regardless of medical conditions, gender or sexual orientation + Adoption benefits to remove some of the financial barriers associated with adoption + Up to 50% off – Nespresso Coffee Machine, Capsules and accessories + Access to the Discount Company store with Nestlé, Nespresso, and Purina products (Located across various Nestle offices/sites) **What you need to know** We will be considering applicants as they apply, so please don’t delay in submitting your application.   Nestlé Canada is an equal-opportunity employer committed to diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility.
