Description
The main function of a systems administrator is to install, configure, and support an organization’s local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN) and Internet system or a segment of a network system. A typical systems administrator is responsible for monitoring network to ensure network availability to all system users and perform necessary maintenance to support network availability. Job Responsibilities: Maintain and administer computer networks and related computing environments including computer hardware, network hardware, mobile devices, systems software, applications software, and all configurations. Perform disaster recovery operations. Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware, software, or other network and system problems, vulnerabilities and replace defective components when necessary. Skills: Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, customer service, and organizational management to prioritize multiple project actions items and manage time effectively. Basic ability to identify, interpret and evaluate system and network requirements, knowledge of computer hardware and software related to LAN/WAN and desktop PCs.
-PC and mobile hardware and software support for factory devices including corporate deployed IT assets at the Fargo facilities
• Provide support for PC operating system and security patch updates/deployments for factory floor devices
• Diagnose hardware failures or vulnerabilities and replace failed part, replace PC or coordinator repairs with 3rd party vendor
• Basic understanding of network infrastructure (switches, routers, cabling, architecture understanding)
• Performing basic network and server equipment installation under the direction and support from infrastructure team
• Assist with application/software related incidents, problems or vulnerabilities and/or coordinate with the software provider for resolution as needed
• Provide Root Cause Analysis on issues impacting computers on the factory floor or site-specific client/server solutions and make necessary corrections or make recommendations to the site on changes to improve/resolve impact
• Assist with supporting developed applications including initial troubleshooting
• Assist with ERP and other site-specific account administration as needed
• Assist with non-standard account administration in Active Directory
• Assist with other factory IT projects and initiatives as requested
- Attending discussions with local business partners, corporate IT, and collaborating with other IT on-site team members to provide status updates and determine next steps.
- Complete installation of site-specific software on desktops and coordinate deployment of assets to the factory floor work centers.
- Trouble shoot network infrastructure or desktop assets at the local facility.
- Work on IT projects for LAN/WAN, desktop, or audio/video improvements.
- Work with a production supervisor or office worker to remediate a client/server technical issue.
Nice to Have:
- ITSM services: Incident, Problem, Vulnerability management, including restoration of service, root cause analysis, and permanent corrective action.
- Administrator level access for desktop assets, LAN/WAN hardware and IT infrastructure software for configuration.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
Education/Experience: Associate’s degree in computer related field is required, with preference to a four-year degree in IT related field. Two to four years professional experience required.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $28.00/hr.
