GTSB Economics Faculty Member The University of Mary in Bismarck, ND, invites applications for an undergraduate Faculty Member for the Gary Tharaldson School of Business for the teaching of Economics. The Faculty Member is primarily responsible for teaching at the undergrad level, both traditional delivery and online modality. Additional duties can be in the area of master's courses, and in our doctoral courses (as qualified). Advising students in the GTSB will also be a part of this position. Faculty member will serve on at least one GTSB or University committee. This position shares the academic responsibilities and privileges of a full-time faculty. All faculty are expected to demonstrate a willingness to support and advance the Christian, Catholic and Benedictine mission and identity of the University of Mary (see https://www.umary.edu/about/mission-identity (http://www.umary.edu/about/mission/missionidentity.php) ). Responsibilities Include: Teaching undergrad economics courses in that major/minor degree; + Assisting with the revision and development of curriculum; + Oversight of the program, as director and advising students in the GTSB; + Participating in assessment, program review, and accreditation processes; + Assisting with Master’s level and Doctoral level courses, dissertation chair or committee work (as qualified); + The Faculty Member Position assists Enrollment Services with the recruitment efforts for GTSB traditional and non-traditional UG and Grad programs; + Continues to develop professionally through involvement in scholarship, creative work, meetings, conferences, workshops, and courses;   Qualifications and Requirements Include: + Earned terminal degree in a field related to those offered within the School A Doctorate in Economics is preferred + Evidence of the Development of a Scholarly Research Agenda + Experience teaching undergraduate or graduate level courses in Economics + Experience Chairing Dissertation Committees and sitting on dissertation committees + Upholds and supports the Christian, Catholic, and Benedictine mission of the University of Mary + Supports the ongoing implementation of Ex Corde Ecclesiae, the apostolic constitution on Catholic colleges and universities   This position is an 8-month position.   Powered by JazzHR
