Overview
Teach a course(s) in the MS Data Analytics program with a concentration in Healthcare Analytics.
Adjunct is responsible for instruction, course preparation, developing instructional materials, grading and assessment, and professional responsibilities as a member of the instructional team of a school or academic department.
Responsibilities
+ Teaching program course(s)
+ Preparing lectures, assignments, assessments, and course material as needed for the course(s)
+ Grading assignments, projects, papers, presentations, and/or exams and providing students with valuable and timely feedback
+ Developing or updating the syllabus to reflect what is taught in the course(s) and how it is presented and assessed
+ Collaborating with the Director to implement necessary assessment tools into relevant course materials
Qualifications
Education, Preparation, and Training
+ Doctoral degree
+ At least one year of teaching experience
+ At least three years of professional experience
Skills
+ Knowledge of the subject matter and online teaching/classroom management skills
+ Data Analytics
+ Mathematics and statistics
+ Healthcare sector data analysis
+ Databases and data modeling
+ Visualization
+ Data mining and data warehousing
+ Healthcare security and privacy policy (e.g., HIPAA)
Physical Demands
+ Use of a computer
Computer Skills
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook
+ In addition to the subject matter, the ability to effectively use an LMS such as Blackboard or Canvas
