Summary :The Clinical Preceptor, School of Radiology instructs students in the radiologic technology program. Performs didactic and clinical instruction to achieve an established standard of medical care in radiologic sciences. Exercises professional judgment in performance of duties, and maintains a demeanor complementary to medical ethics. Instructs and evaluates appropriate patient care and conditions essential for successful completion of a procedure.

Job Description:

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES: 1. Instructs and directly or indirectly supervises student performance in the clinical education setting. 2. In collaboration with the program director and clinical coordinator, provides student clinical education at the participating and approved sites. 3. Assists in the development of the master clinical education plan and handbook. 4. Assists in the development of student objectives and evaluation tools for effective use in clinical education. 5. Assists the clinical coordinator in the development and coordination of the master clinical schedule. 6. Performs competency based clinical evaluations on students. 7. Develops and instructs specific units of didactic education. 8. Participates in the student selection process. 9. Ensures compliance of The Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT) standards. QUALIFICATIONS: • Two years of clinical experience • Bachelorette degree with master's preferred. •Experience teaching preferred• Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists • Wisconsin license•

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: • Ability to move freely (standing, stooping, walking, bending, pushing, and pulling) and lift up to a maximum of fifty (50) pounds without assistance. • Job classification is exposed to blood borne pathogens (blood or bodily fluids) while performing job duties. WORK

ENVIRONMENT: • Normally works in climate controlled office environment. • Occasional exposure to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and risk of electrical shock. • Occasional high noise level in work environment. • Possible exposure to communicable diseases, hazardous materials, and pharmacological agents.

Schedule: Monday - Friday

Shift: 8:00am-4:00pm

Primary Location: TCRMC Neenah and clinical affiliates
Additional Info: Our program is expanding and looking for an additional clinical preceptor as well as teaching some coursework.
