Division of Nephrology
The Division of Nephrology at UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh and the Department of Pediatrics, University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, is recruiting a clinical physician on the non-tenure track at the rank of Assistant Professor. The ideal candidate for this position will have demonstrated excellence in clinical care and teaching. The successful applicant will provide patient care, teach fellows and residents, and participate in clinical research or other scholarly endeavors that will lead to academic promotion. The candidate must have an MD/DO (or foreign equivalent) and be board-eligible/certified in pediatric nephrology.
The Division of Nephrology at the University of Pittsburgh has a strong track record supporting faculty career development. The division has consistently been listed in the US News and World Report's top Pediatric Nephrology programs. We have an active dialysis and transplant program for children with end-stage kidney failure and provide a high volume of acute kidney replacement therapies. The candidate will join a collegial group of eight pediatric nephrologists and an advanced practice provider. There is a strong history of collaboration with the Adult Renal-Electrolyte Division, including an NIDDK-funded National Resource Center of the George M. O'Brien Kidney Resource Alliance (OKRA) in the Pittsburgh Center for Kidney Research and a newly funded U2C/TL1 Pittsburgh Center for Training in Kidney, Hematology and Urology (PCT-KUH), as well as opportunities to work with investigators at Carnegie Mellon University.
