Position Information
Faculty members are expected to be skilled educators, with a passion for teaching and continuous improvement in best practices that support equitable student success. The primary responsibility of the Psychology Instructor is to provide quality education and teaching in a full range of community college Psychology courses (which may include; Introduction to Abnormal Psychology, General Psychology, Lifespan Developmental Psychology, and Learning and Memory), and to engage in academic professional activities which advance the goals of the College and Division. Faculty members are responsible for following College and Division policies and procedures in support of teaching and learning.

Our Social Science Division is seeking to hire a skilled educator with a passion for teaching and content expertise in Lifespan Development Psychology. The focus of teaching responsibilities will be in Psychology courses.
The Social Science Division is committed to increasing the diversity and equity of the college community in multiple forms. Location: Main Campus Classification: Faculty Position Type: Contracted Faculty Anticipated Start Date: On or about September 16, 2025 Salary/Wage: Annual Salary/Wage Range: $61,946 - $86,542 per academic year (starting salary range) Salary/Compensation Statement: Application is used to determine initial salary placement for selected candidates. Physical Demands/Working Environment: This position works in varied environments. May be exposed to usual office, industry, education, and commercial working conditions that include noises, interruptions, equipment, telephones, and visitors. This position requires that an employee be able to sit or stand for extended periods of time. May perform cognitive and psychometric work for more than six (6) hours a day. Supervision Statement: Faculty report to a Division Dean, and perform instructional and professional duties and responsibilities in a timely manner and in accordance with the mission, policies, and procedures of the college. Physical Demands/Working Environment: This position works in varied environments. May be exposed to usual office, industry, education, and commercial working conditions that include noises, interruptions, equipment, telephones, and visitors. This position requires that an employee be able to sit or stand for extended periods of time. May perform cognitive and psychometric work for more than six (6) hours a day. Work may require transporting materials up to twenty-five (25) pounds. Work Safely. Lane was founded in 1964 by a vote of local citizens, and the main campus opened in 1968. The college was a successor to the Eugene Technical-Vocational School that was founded in 1938. Lane has received many awards and accolades for its innovative programs and high quality instruction. The college is a member of the League for Innovation in the Community College.
