The University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, the Department of Neurology is currently accepting applications for full-time doctoral level Visiting Scholar. The project encompasses research projects studying Adiponectin on cerebrovascular regulation in vascular cognitive impairment and dementia. The successful candidate will be involved in study design, experimental conduct, data analysis, and preparation of manuscripts and progress reports on the research projects they will be participating in.The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting independent research, publishing articles in peer-reviewed journals, and presenting findings at both lab meetings and national/international scientific conferences. Visiting Scholar applicants will have access to various weekly seminar series and Grand Rounds opportunities.

Qualifications

Applicants must possess a PhD in basic sciences and demonstrate a track record of academic excellence, independent research, and a keen interest in both basic and pre-clinical research. Proficient in immunoprecipitation, ELISA, multicolor immunofluorescence, and other immunological experimental skills.Individuals with backgrounds in Neurobiology, Neuroscience, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, and Pharmacology are encouraged to apply to Job Search (taleo.net) requisition ID 24007015
