At Coilcraft, we are currently seeking a Failure Analysis Engineer to join our dynamic team in the Engineering department. The successful candidate will investigate and diagnose electronic failures within our products, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions to enhance product reliability and performance. This role requires a strong understanding of electronic components, testing methodologies, and failure analysis techniques.\n
Responsibilities\n\nConduct comprehensive failure analysis investigations on electronic components, assemblies, and systems to identify root causes of failures.\nDevelop and execute testing procedures to assess the performance and reliability of electronic components and systems under various conditions.\nAnalyze test data, inspection reports, and other relevant documentation to draw meaningful conclusions and provide insights into failure modes and mechanisms.\nPrepare detailed failure analysis reports documenting findings, root cause analysis, and recommended corrective actions.\nCollaborate closely with cross-functional teams including design engineers, manufacturing engineers, and quality assurance personnel to implement corrective actions and prevent the recurrence of failures.\nDrive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product reliability, quality, and performance by identifying and eliminating failure root causes.\nStay abreast of industry developments, emerging technologies, and best practices in failure analysis, electronic components, and reliability engineering.\n\n
Qualifications:\n\nBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.\nProven experience in failure analysis, reliability engineering, or a related field, preferably in the electronics industry.\nStrong understanding of electronic components, circuit design, and manufacturing processes.\nProficiency in using various tools and techniques for failure analysis, such as microscopy, X-ray, SEM\/EDS, and electrical testing equipment.\nExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex technical data and draw meaningful conclusions.\nEffective communication skills with the ability to convey technical information clearly and concisely in both written and verbal formats.\nDetail-oriented with a passion for identifying and resolving technical challenges.\n\n
