Job Description

This position is part of our EVERSANA/Applied Therapeutics "Family Access Manager” team.
 

The Family Access Manager (FAM) is a key field-based member of the Market Access Team. The FAM will utilize company approved materials to provide education and support to approved prescribers and clinic staff focused on Applied Therapeutics approved Patient Services programs.  As part of this program, the FAM will also provide on-going education to patients/caregivers/families around payer landscape and pharmacy channel access. The FAM will not interfere with the independent clinical decision making of the prescriber and will provide support only after the decision to prescribe has been made.


The FAM Position will:

Focus on being the patient journey expert and will communicate the patient journey process to providers/staff and upon request, patients/caregivers.Be the payer expert for local and national plans and will educate prescribers/staff on payer requirements and processes including prior authorizations, step-edits, appeals, etc.Identify and help resolve any non-clinical logistical issues delaying or preventing patients from starting or continuing therapy.Be familiar with the HIPAA regulations to protect all personal health information provided by the patient and/or caregiver for specific support described in the patient enrollment form.Offer educational resources to support the entire patient journey utilizing approved Company materials.Provide reminder services to office staff to facilitate appropriate continuation of therapy provided patient has opted in to support services.Be capable of thriving in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and be energetic, positive, forward thinking and proactive.All communications to HCP/support staff and patients/caregivers must be consistent with product label.Unsolicited questions received from patients/caregivers must be referred to medical as directed by Company.

QualificationsBachelor’s degree required. Graduate degree preferred.7+ years proven commercial experience within the Biopharmaceutical industry, preferably within specialty pharmaceuticals3+ years Market Access, Specialty Pharmacy, or Reimbursement experience in the Biotech/Pharmaceutical industry preferredProduct launch experienceExperience in other functions within the Biopharmaceutical industry a plus (e.g. product marketing, managed care, field sales, case management or large healthcare practice experience)Knowledge and understanding of specialty markets, HUB/Reimbursement services and patient services programsKnowledge of commercial insurers, managed care, government (Part D) and federal payer sectorsKnowledge of Integrated Health SystemsStrong understanding of MS Suite and the ability to conduct virtual engagements via MS TeamsAbility to manage multiple priorities with excellent organizational and problem-solving skills with a high level of initiative and independenceProven success in working in a cross functional environmentAbility to conduct educational presentations to both HCPs/office staff and patients/caregiversAbility to travel up to 75%
