Accountable for serving client families by making at need cemetery arrangements, and selling pre-need arrangements. The Family Service Counselor serves families by providing exemplary personalized service and plays an essential role in generating revenue for the cemetery as well as acting as the primary contact for families

Builds at-need chartsVerifies at-need files before sent for verificationPerforms blind checksFollows up with memorial renderings, processes and timelinesNotifies families when flowers are placedSets Arrangement Continuation AppointmentsDesigns memorialsServes at-need cemetery families that currently own propertySets follow-up visits at the at-need arrangement conferenceLogs information for Family Service CounselorsMeets with funeral home at-need families

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education

High School diploma or equivalent

Certification

Certified in all processes and procedures as it relates to the family service guidebook, interment verification, blind check (I.R.L.A., IOA, etc.)

Ability to communicate effectively with associates, contractor personnel and client familiesAbility to work productively with minimal supervision; achieves work objectives in a timely mannerAbility to resolve routine problems promptly and effectivelyAbility to adapt to change in priorities
