Responsible for diagnosing illnesses, prescribing medication, therapy, and other specialized medical care to treat or prevent illness in adolescent, adult, and pediatric populations; explain procedures and test results and treatment with patients; manage and treat common health problems; analyze records, reports, and test results; responsible for chronic disease management, minor procedures, counseling, health education, preventative care, coordination of care, documentation and record keeping using an electronic health record; conduct administrative duties including billing; collaborate and mentorship of Advanced Practice Providers; keep up to date on best practices through continuous medical education; and provide emergency care for acute conditions; physician must be American Board Certified in Family Medicine, and must possess valid State of Michigan Medical license.
