Family Partner (Parent Support) Mobile position in communities surrounding Bedford, MA $21.00 per hour The Edinburg Center is seeking a part time Family Partner for our Children’s Services programs providing services to youth under the age of 21 with mental health needs in the communities.
Who You Are:
Passionate caregiver who has a loved one who currently has or has been a recipient of Mental Health services. BA or BS preferred. Experience in the field preferred. Active involvement in local community agencies that provide family support and advocacy, such as the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) and/or Parent/Professional Advocacy League (PPAL) preferred. Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle required.
What You Will Do:
Responsible for providing family support and advocacy directly to caregivers/families in collaboration with the IHTBC Team, other providers, resources and support groups. Uses his or her life experience as a parent or caregiver of a child with serious emotional or behavioral disturbances to offer support to other parents/caregivers of family members with children with serious emotional or behavioral disturbances. Acts as a bridge between the Persons Served and their caregivers/families who are seeking knowledge of and input into their loved ones’ lives.
