Education: BSN preferred ADN Required - Graduate from a college or university accredited by National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC), or The Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE).
Experience: A minimum of 3 years of experience for ADN or 2 years of experience for BSN in clinical nursing working with adults, children, families, seniors and groups. (Those with less than 3 years experience will still be considered.) Nurses with familiarity with the Military Healthcare System and Electronic Health Record is desirable. Nurses with work experience with Tri-care, AHLTA, CHCS, Military Health System Genesis systems preferred
Certifications:
BLSAdvanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and In addition, Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PAL3S) 7 and Neonatal Resuscitation Course (NRC) certifications shall be as required by AFI 44-102.Licensure/Registration: Current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice as a Registered Nurse in any one of the 50 states, the District of Columbia, the
Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or the U.S. Virgin Islands
RN Core Duties:
Coordinate patient care in collaboration with a wide array of healthcare professionals. Facilitate the achievement of optimal outcomes in relation to clinical care, quality and cost effectiveness. Ensure compliance with standards of care and practice in accordance with all established policies, procedures, and guidelines used in the MTF. Perform physical exam and health histories. Provide health promotions, counseling, and education. Administer medications, wound care, and numerous other personalized interventions. Direct and supervise care provide by other healthcare professionals. Accountable for making patient care assignments based on the scope of practice and skill level of assigned personnel. Recognize adverse signs and symptomsand quickly react in emergency situations. Communicate and collaborate with a diverse group of people for the purpose of informing the healthcare team of plans/actions, for teaching/education
