Culture of Care

The ELCD program at OHU is known for its closely-knit teams who often work together for years at a time! The team members join their shared love of educating young children towards creating a warm and positive working environment. New employees who come from a corporate environment quickly fall in love with the atmosphere at an OHU child development center!

What you would be doing: Recruiting and enrolling families into the Home Visiting program, and maintaining enrollment through various recruitment strategies Establishing trusting, nurturing relationships with parents and their children Providing program parents with guidance on home safety, nutrition, effective discipline, constructive play activities, basic child care, crisis management, problem solving, positive relationships and other related topics Attending Early Intervention meetings with the families receiving services in order to support developmental and/or social needs of child and family Working jointly with parents to develop and implement home visit plans based on identified family and child strengths and needs Providing children and their parents with socialization experiences Developing a Family Goal Plan with families, allowing them to achieve defined goals What you can expect from us: OHU program leaders work to provide warm and supportive leadership that flexes around your life as much as possible when needed A flexible full-time schedule Staff Celebrations (including weekly lunches!) Education 

Bachelor's degree in a human services related field required

Experience

One to two years' of professional experience providing services to families and children required
