Family Support Supervisor

Salary: $50,000/yr.

Purpose of the Opportunity 

At Win, the Transitional Housing team is committed to ensuring that our families are provided services utilizing the qualities of Trauma-Informed Care upon entering a Win facility and throughout their stay with us. We have developed innovative and specialized services and programs designed to meet the complex and unique needs that help to improve the quality of life of the families residing in a Win residence.

We have an exciting opportunity for an entry level supervisor to support a team of Family Support Specialists. As the Family Support Supervisor, you will monitor and support the team’s performance and ensure that they are delivering a high level of customer service to our clients while performing in a team environment. Some key functions of this role include ensuring the delivery of high-quality support services, building relationships with clients, advocating for clients, reviewing documentation of families as they enter the residence and fostering a culture of excellence within the program as it relates to meeting the day-to-day needs of the clients.

Key Accountabilities: 

Supervision 

Supervise and support Family Support Specialists in implementing evidence-based practices to assist clients in achieving their goals.Attend all scheduled meetings and represent the program professionally to internal and external stakeholders.Oversee the timely completion of initial assessments and documentation for families entering transitional housing.

Client Advocacy 

Collaborate with social services team to recommend and identify appropriate referrals for families based on their needs.Assist in conducting wellness checks for high-risk families and liaise with external agencies as needed.Ensure initial assessments of families are conducted within 24 hours of arrival, complete necessary documentation, and provide ongoing support.Escort clients to appointments, housing interviews, and provide support as needed.

Collaboration 

Collaborate with the team to develop and implement strategies for improving program effectiveness and client outcomes.Support unit inspections and collaborate with security staff to maintain a safe environment for clients and staff.Conduct regular team meetings, provide training, and facilitate professional development opportunities for staff.Maintain accurate client records and documentation in compliance with Win’s organizational standards.

Teamwork 

Collaborate with the team to resolve challenges and remove barriers.Participate and lead in team meetings, trainings, and professional development activities.Support unit inspections and collaborate with security staff to maintain a safe environment.Ensure accurate maintenance of client records and documentation in compliance with organizational standards.

Essential Functions: 

Ability to navigate stairs in the assigned building.Escort clients to appointments, including apartment viewings.

Qualifications: 

Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, or related field preferred.Previous experience in social services, supportive housing, or emergency shelter settings.Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport with diverse populations.Proficiency in computer use for documentation and reporting.Excellent communication and organizational skills.Compassion, empathy, and a genuine desire to help others.Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish (preferred).
