Family Trainer III- Veteran Family Wellbeing Center
Description The Division of Population Behavioral Health is seeking to hire a licensed Family Trainer to join the UCLA VA Veteran Family Wellbeing Center (VFWC). The VFWC serves as a vital access point for veterans and their families, providing life-skills training, health and wellness services, recreation, prevention programs, and educational support. Primary duties include: * Facilitate evidence-based family training programs, skills groups, and workshops tailored to veteran families * Conduct educational consultations on family dynamics, caregiving, couples' relationships, and youth related issues * Lead group skill-building workshops for veteran family members, couples, caregivers, and youth * Perform intake assessments, document participant engagement, and track service utilization * Screen participants for immediate psychosocial needs, including crisis intervention, medical attention, emergency shelter, and basic necessities * Provide psychoeducation on military life stressors and reintegration challenges * Assist with community outreach efforts to engage and support veteran families * Ensure accurate tracking and monitoring of family participation services Salary range: $71,500/yr - $154,900/yr Qualifications + Advanced degree in behavioral health field (MSW, MFT, PhD, PsyD) + Valid CA license in a behavioral health discipline + Experience working with families, children, and military populations + Strong background in delivering individual and group-based interventions for families and children + Experience working with children and teens in therapeutic or educational setting + Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) + Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team + Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities + Proficiency in Microsoft Work, Outlook, Excel, and related software + Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends, if needed UCLA Health welcomes all individuals, without regard to race, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, religion, national origin or disabilities, and we proudly look to each person’s unique achievements and experiences to further set us apart.
