Farm & Forest Business Educator
Position Details Advertising/Posting Title Farm & Forest Business Educator Diversity Statement The University is especially interested in candidates who can contribute to the diversity and excellence of the institution. Posting Summary This position will deliver individualized business planning advising to farm and forest businesses. They will assist in the preparation of business and transfer/succession plans. They will work with farm & forest business owners/managers to develop financial statements to support business planning and decision making process. Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience) Bachelors degree in business or related field 3 years experience in outreach education to farm and forest business owners/managers. Or, 3 years experience in business and/or financial management of farm or forestry business. The equivalent combination of education and experience will also be accepted. Experience with business planning, preparation of written business plans and financial statements Ability to handle multiple divergent tasks, prioritize workflow and work independently. Strong interpersonal skills required Desirable Qualifications Experience with farm financial standards, accrual adjusted accounting practices, family business counseling and intergenerational business succession. Anticipated Pay Range $25.50 to $29.50 per hour Other Information Must submit a cover letter and resume to be considered for this position. Position may be located at any Extension office across the state, as well as possible home office eligible. Regular and extended travel by automobile to farm locations statewide all seasons of the year. It is expected that this position will be non-exempt based on FSLA exempt minimum salary standards.
