As a Senior Staff Data Architect, you will be an instrumental member of the Lockheed Martin Space FBM team, you will:

• Ensure that all developed data structures are consistent with the enterprise vision, mission, and roadmaps

• Develop data architectures that integrate with the overall Space Enterprise Architecture and Domain-specific Architectures, as well as customer concepts for a data architecture

• Guide Customer and Industry Partner vision for a parent level data architecture and enable full life-cycle utility of data constructs

• Document, model, and publish these architectures per methods and standards of the Space Data Architecture Team and the FBM program

• Integrate, implement, and operationalize these architectures as required

• Meet and understand the business, customers, partners and their subject areas in order to capture and understand their current-state architectures (processes/data/roles) and detail their data, reporting, and analytics needs/requests /requirements and for the life-cycle of the program

• Work closely with customers/partners and IT to collaboratively define the solution space, and establish data boundaries across the relevant domains

• Work alongside Solution and System Architects to ensure data standards & governance is met for Space non-core applications, products, and resources impacted by 1LMX

• Develop future-state conceptual architectures that are implementable, secure, scalable and supportable and decompose those conceptual architectures into functions that can be allocated to processes, data, and roles

Basic Qualifications:
• Broad experience across IT technical subject areas including data, analytics and cyber

• Designing and architecting data solutions across structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data (e.g. SQL, NoSQL, Big Data) and supporting data search solutions and indexing (e.g. ElasticSearch)

• Significant experience working as a Systems Engineer and deploying analytics solutions across cloud, customer or LM platforms

• Experience in creating data architectures, data governance, data quality, and data measurement plans including handling of data across significant portions of a program life cycle

• Experience defining data architecture interfaces, specifications and requirements

• Experience in using the Cameo Systems Modeler or Enterprise Architecture (or similar) and connecting a data architecture to Functional, Logical and Physical layers

• Significant exposure to cyber threats, mitigation techniques and the impact of those mitigations on data structures and access

• Active DOD Secret clearance is required with ability to obtain a Top Secret
Desired Skills:
• 14+ years professional experience, with Data Architecture experience

• Experience with data, databases, data schemas, data services, application data interfaces, data infrastructure

• Basic understanding and experience in using the No Magic Cameo Systems Modeler or Enterprise Architecture (or similar) modelling software

• CSSP, Security+ or other Cyber Credentials is a significant plus

• Thorough understanding of security principles in general and how to map them to IT components and functions

• Experience or deep knowledge of Big Data software

• Experience in applying data access policies to heterogenous data stores in classified environments

• Experience presenting at reviews with Customers and/or Senior Stakeholders

• Experience on Agile teams as an architecture stakeholder

• Broad, basic understanding of business and engineering activities/subject areas in DoD/Aerospace

• Demonstrated capability to communicate clearly – verbally, textually and graphically – to technical and non-technical partners at the Director level and below

• Understanding of developing, managing, and testing back-up and recovery plans

• Experience with Data manipulation and analysis software in classified environments

• Experience with Master Data Management (MDM) techniques and platforms

• Experience with data catalog and business glossary platforms

• Active Top Secret would be significant

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Washington or Washington DC is $128,900 - $247,000. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.

This position is incentive plan eligible.
