In this exciting role, you will generate and write compelling content for Best magazine’s real-life pages, as well as contribute to the Entertainment studio’s real-life ideas. Your creativity and keen eye for new, original stories will shine as you source ideas from newspapers, TV shows, and your own inspiration.
 

Key responsibilities include:

Story Generation: Find fresh, original real-life story ideas for both the print edition and its spin-offs. Research & Interviews: Assist with research and set up interviews for the real-life section of the Entertainment studio, identifying relevant individuals to bring ideas to life. Picture Research & Legal Knowledge: Conduct picture research for stories you’re involved in, while ensuring you have a solid understanding of the legal aspects. Event Attendance & Networking: Attend events, build a network of contacts, and stay connected with the latest trends in the real-life genre. Digital Platform Management: Upload stories to our digital platform, DS, and contribute to the development of forum content into engaging story ideas.

This role is perfect for someone with a passion for storytelling, a knack for research, and a strong interest in digital content creation. You’ll help shape the stories that resonate with our readers and make an impact in both print and digital platforms.

ABOUT YOU

Some experience working as a writer on a national paper or weekly magazine.  Contacts outside of news agencies is desirable. Knowledge of digital uploading and SEO is desirable. Knowledge of picture tagging and legals is desirable.
