As the Federal Charter Schools Program Grants Manager in the Charter Center Division with the Minnesota Department of Education (MDE), you will provide leadership, technical assistance, training, consultant and direction to charter schools in the implementation and management of new charter school and significant expansion grants as a component of the Federal Charter Schools Program (CSP) grant project with statewide impact on charter schools. Duties will include: + Develop, manage, and update CSP Grant processes and documentation in alignment with state and federal requirements. + Provide leadership, technical assistance and guidance in the implementation and management of the federal CSP grant, including the subgrant program, so program requirements are met and adhered to and the number of high-quality charter schools and charter school programs in Minnesota increases. + Manage MDE's CSP sub-grant portfolio through negotiations and grant monitoring so that grantees are held accountable for the use of federal funds, meet financial performance standards and are sustainable when their grant ends. Participate in mandatory federal reporting requirements. + Provide leadership and partnership for charter schools (leaders, developers, board members, etc.), authorizers and MDE staff through the development and implementation of training programs and policy, communication of best practices, and fostering relationships. + Administer, manage, and provide technical assistance for grants and contracts administered through the CSP Grant so that grantees are held accountable for the use of federal funds and meet performance standards. + Review and provide feedback on grantee work products and processes (including by not limited to guidance, handbooks, video, audio, digital and online platforms, surveys) so that related CSP project performance measures are met. Assist with the U.S. Department of Education's evaluation. **Minimum Qualifications** 5 years of professional experience OR A bachelor's degree and 4 years of professional experience with the following: + Grants management; + Charter schools; + Compliance monitoring; and + Laws, rules, statutes, and regulations related to grants, grants management, charter schools and compliance monitoring. **Preferred Qualifications** Experience with: + Budgets + Federal and/or state government grants/accounting + Statewide Integrated Financial Tools (SWIFT) **Additional Requirements** A job offer will be contingent upon successfully passing a background check.
