Federal Communications Project Manager (DOT)

Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled Project Manager with expertise in overseeing all aspects of a multifaceted national communication campaign focused on building awareness and improving automotive safety. The ideal candidate will be responsible for directing the planning, executing, and optimizing of paid media campaigns across various channels, employing strategies and techniques to convey cohesive messaging to target audiences and ensuring the successful delivery of tasks on time and within budget. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong organizational skills and strong understanding of paid media platforms and advertising strategies. Key Responsibilities: + Act as strategic advisor and consultant with client providing expert advice and guidance to help solve complex problems, achieve goals, and improve performance. + Collaborate with clients and internal stakeholders to define project objectives, requirements, and key performance indicators (KPIs). + Develop project timelines, budgets, and resource plans, and ensure all projects are delivered on time and within budget. + Coordinate with creative teams, media buyers, and other external vendors to develop campaign assets and execute media buys. + Monitor campaign performance and analyze data to optimize targeting, messaging, and budget allocation for maximum ROI. + Provide regular project updates and performance reports to clients and stakeholders, highlighting key insights and recommendations for improvement. + Stay up to date with industry trends, best practices, and platform updates in paid media advertising, and share knowledge with the team. Qualifications: + Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising, business, or related field. + 8-10 years of experience in project management, with a focus on paid media campaigns and digital advertising. + Previous experience working with the Department of Transportation and/or the vehicle safety communications industry highly desirable + Managing technical information gathering and assessment programs using multi-disciplinary personnel is required. + Strong knowledge of paid media platforms, including Google Ads, Facebook Ads Manager, LinkedIn Ads, Twitter Ads, and other relevant platforms. + Proven track record of successfully managing multiple paid media campaigns simultaneously, from conception to execution to optimization. + Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and metrics to drive decision-making and campaign optimization. + Exceptional organizational and communication skills, with the ability to manage stakeholders and cross-functional teams effectively. + Project management certification (e.g., PMP, CAPM) is a plus. Location: The position is remote, but the Project Manager will ideally be local to the Washington, D.C. metro area and able to be onsite for occasional client and team meetings.
