As a Senior Consultant providing financial management services to our Transportation clients, you will experience a variety of engagements. Our financial management practitioners predominately support CFO clients. Engagements may include process assessment studies and improvement efforts, strategic and change management efforts to guide stakeholders through business transitions (e.g., due to new financial standards, requirements, systems; aging infrastructure), assessments designed to gather and synthesize quantitative and qualitative data into recommendations, and program management efforts supporting financial and/or grant operations.

Your responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:

Supporting day-to-day recipient monitoring functions and conducting stakeholder outreachApplying knowledge of Federal financial and accounting principles, standards, and guidance to help clients comply with requirementsLeveraging data analysis skills to improve processes and deliver insights on financial and / or grants programsParticipating in meetings with clients and teams to understand project / program objectives and challenges regarding client structures, processes, technologies, operations, and / or culturesWorking with a team to develop solutions to solve process and policy challenges for CFO clientsLeading implementation of accepted recommendations and solutionsPresenting updated deliverables and work products to team leadership and clients, making complex concepts simpleBeing adaptable to changing client requirements and asks and be able to work closely with project leadership to solve challengesSupporting team management with business development activities, including, but not limited to, proposal writing and client researchDemonstrating an ability to learn new skills, challenge yourself, and increase your capabilities and competencies

What You Will Need:

3+ years of experience in internal / external client facing Federal management consulting, strategy, or operations positionBachelor’s Degree from an accredited college/university in accounting or related financial / business fieldActive Certified Public Accountant (CPA) licenseSignificant proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and VisioOutstanding problem-solving skills and critical thinkingHigh attention to detailStrong verbal and written communication skillsU.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a federal Public Trust clearance.Preference will be given to candidates who reside within a reasonable number of miles of a Guidehouse Office.

What Would Be Nice To Have:

Certification(s) (e.g., Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM), PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP), Lean Six Sigma, Certified Change Management Professional (CCMP), Prosci Change Management Certification)
