DESCRIPTION:
Federal Cx Project Manager II holds overall responsibility for assigned projects of medium to high scope and complexity. The primary responsibility of this role will be related to the design, analysis and commissioning of mechanical systems. Duties involve planning and executing a specific project plan, delivering quality products and services to the client in a timely manner, and serving as the primary contact between the SSR project team and the client. The Federal Cx Project Manager II ensures that projects are executed according to the plan and is responsible for the results of assigned projects (Total Project Success).
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Completes the project scope and requirements with the client and other stakeholders and communicates project scope and requirements to the project team Prepares and implements a proactive Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) plan for projects Oversees the profitability of the project by negotiating fees and contracts as may be appropriate, participating in the budgeting process, and ensuring that invoices are accurate and delivered in a timely manner Identifies, negotiates, and administers fees for additional services Schedules work, communicates schedule information to the project team, and monitors manpower requirements Facilitates communication between the client and the project team; documents important issues Coordinates activities of the project team and contractors during the design and construction phases Performs project job site visits to investigate field conditions, monitor progress, and ensure conformance to design specifications, owner expectations, and building codes during construction Performs specific engineering studies and other design analyses using industry software Coordinates with other disciplines to determine equipment needs, implement operating procedures, and provide technical information Participates in planning and budgeting processes, which includes preparing monthly billing projections and budget metrics as required by management Monitors accounts receivables on projects and initiates corrective action as needed Supervises the job close out process to ensure documentation, lessons learned, and filings are complete Assists management in the training and mentoring of less experienced colleagues within the Cx group Assists management in the evaluation of less experienced colleagues within the Cx groupKNOWLEDGE, SKILL, AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS:
KNOWLEDGE
Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) software Knowledge of project approach and systems design Knowledge of engineering disciplines where systems are commonly commissioned Knowledge of building codes and regulations Knowledge of construction procurement and design development processes General knowledge of accounting and how to create and maintain budgets

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, or related field 5 or more years in managing commissioning projects for mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems for buildings; healthcare facility experience is highly beneficial. Registered Professional Engineer preferred Prior experience with DoD projects is preferred; knowledge of associated standards, procedures, and regulations is highly beneficial. Must either hold a current Commissioning Authority (CxA) Certification or obtain it within the first three months of employment. This position will require travel to Germany and may include both short-term and extended Candidates must be open to various international travel arrangements and adaptable to evolving project needs
