**What’s the role?** We are looking for a dynamic political reporter to join our team. Based in the Canberra Press Gallery, this reporting role covers federal politics for The Courier-Mail, Sunday Mail and Queensland regional mastheads.. To be successful you will break exclusive stories for digital and print and write compelling commentary and analysis on federal issues. You’ll have a passion for the story behind the politics and know how to make sense of government decisions. You will also have a well-established network of political contacts. You will be someone who has experience in a political reporting role. The person we want must have a burning desire to know what's going on, where and why it's happening, and the ability to cut through to the core of the issue. You can write clearly and concisely and are constantly monitoring news, blogs and social media. You will possess the natural knack to see a great line in a story - and know instantly that it will be a success both in print and digitally.
