The Counseling & Wellness Center (CWC) seeks a Graduate Student to assist with the activities of the CWC’s Research & Assessment Program. The Research & Assessment Program works to support UF students by facilitating and maintaining research projects that pertain to therapy process and outcome research, counseling center metrics, mental health stigma, help-seeking behaviors, and client satisfaction. The Research & Assessment Graduate Student Assistant is responsible for assisting various research activities including data collection, data analysis, running focus groups, and planning research-related meetings. Per International Accreditation of Counseling Services (IACS) Accreditation Standards (IV.F.2.), the Graduate Student Assistant will not have access to clinical documentation/protected health information.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
Assist UF CWC and the UF CWC Research & Assessment (R&A) Program with duties including, but not limited to: Assisting with scheduling and coordinating R&A Program services. Assisting with planning, development, and facilitation of R&A Program presentations, workshops, and seminars (both in-person and online) for UF students, faculty, and staff. Assisting with planning, development, and facilitation of research studies and scholarly articles. Assisting with data collection and communications related to R&A. Attending weekly meeting(s) with CWC R&A team. Other similar duties as directed by supervisor. Expected Salary:$14/hour
Minimum Requirements: Able to work a minimum of 15-20 hours per week. Able to work in hybrid work environment (in-office/remote duties); requires access to personal computer and internet. Anticipated graduation date of Spring 2026 or later. Preferred Qualifications: Graduate student in psychology, counselor education, another mental health-related field, statistics, or data science. Prior experience in health field and related sensitively for health information privacy and confidentiality. Familiarity with regulations surrounding research participant recruitment, including human-subject protection and Institutional Review Boards. Proficiency with survey tools such as Qualtrics. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) and data analysis software (Excel, SPSS, R). Excellent communication skills. Excellent organizational skills.
