Hours: Fee-For-Service
Salary: $40 to $50 (depending on licensure)
JOB DESCRIPTION:
SKILLS / ABILITIES
-Capacity to provide individual, group and family therapy to children, adolescents and adults
-Knowledge of psychiatric diagnoses, disabilities and the treatment of mental illness
-Capacity to work with a multi-disciplinary team, as well as independently
-Ability to develop and implement treatment care plans
-Computer literate and able to perform the functions of electronic charting
-Knowledge of the managed care authorization process
-Ability to be flexible
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
+ Maintain consistent work attendance.
+ Requests for time off are made to assigned supervisor.
+ Screen, assess, and evaluate all incoming referrals; provide initial assessment.
+ Provide individual, group and family therapy, in the office and in community settings, as appropriate
+ Provide Evidence Based treatment to children and families.
+ Document utilizing the electronic medical record.
+ Read TGCW e-mail.
+ Meet the productivity requirements for client contacts (specific to number of hours worked).
+ Provide 24 hour emergency coverage of assigned clients via the agency answering service / phone contact.
+ Conduct psychosocial assessments and provide written reports, as needed.
+ Develop treatment plans and treatment plan reviews, collaboratively, with the client and family.
+ Participate with program staff members in identifying situations that require intervention, and in determining appropriate means of intervention.
+ Complete clinical/counseling records, as required, in accordance with The Guidance Center of Westchester’s policies and procedures, and in compliance with all regulatory agencies.
+ Complete periodic insurance reports, authorizations, and re-authorizations as required.
+ Work with community resources to identify and provide services as needed.
+ Initiate and participate in multidisciplinary case conferences, as necessary.
+ Plan, develop and implement curricula for program groups and activities, as needed.
+ Attend in-service trainings/workshops and or conferences in order to maintain a level of professional excellence.
+ Provide patient education and support in medication management, per physician/prescriber, when needed.
+ Provide case management and referral services for clients in collaboration with other providers.
+ Arrange and/or participate in Network Meetings.
+ Be knowledgeable of crisis signs and symptoms, provide crisis intervention services for clients, securing appropriate supports as needed and reporting all incidents according to agency policies and procedures.
+ Report high risk cases to supervisor and follow clinic protocol.
+ Serve on Committees (agency and school) as mutually determined with supervisor.
+ Collaborate with child/youth student support services staff students presenting with various issues, in order to identify the most effective course of action.
+ Participate in supervision with assigned supervisor.
+ Participate in clinical team meetings.
+ Be aware of and apply the principles of culturally sensitive practice.
+ Encourage and foster family participation and advocate for the client with family, school and other agencies.
+ Participate in quality assurance activities.
+ Participate in special projects.
ff. Supervise student intern (s), if credential qualifies, per program need and approval of supervisor.
