SUMMARY: This position is responsible for managing the production and delivery of high quality feed to Tyson Growers at the lowest cost possible while ensuring compliance with all local state and federal regulations.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Keeping a daily ingredient inventory for Tyson and FDA Compliance
Obtaining daily driver reports to ensure DOT Compliance and
Managing team members in Production, Housekeeping, and Preventative Maintenance.
Coordinating production schedules, ingredient ordering, feed recovery, scheduling preventive maintenance, parts ordering, and keeping within tolerances on parts and ingredient inventories
Utilize continuous improvement tools and methods to maximize crumble and pellet quality, tons per hour week, manufactured tons per load, hauled and delivery turn times
Must lead the safety culture, provide adequate training, and effectively communicate with the team to address any opportunities within the mill and trucking
Take the lead on customer concerns related to feed quality, feed deliveries, and feed recovery
Manage the operation according to budget development, capital plans; including the preparation of capital requests
Must keep in close communication with their manager, drive key metric improvements, be the key liaison with the complex, toll-milling partner, and perform
Other responsibilities as the need arises
REQUIREMENTS:
Must have a valid Driver's license
Be at least 18 years of age or older.
No DUI/DWIs in the last 12 months
Education: Bachelors Degree in a related Agriculture Business or Animal Science preferred .
Experience: 4 plus years in supervisory experience in Live Production or Feed Mill preferred.
Computer Skills: Proficient computer skills such as generating letters spreadsheets or creating queries.
Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Travel: 1-3 trips per year.
