The company is vertically integrated with a strong presence across the pork value chain - from farm to fork. Christensen Farms is the largest shareholder of Triumph Foods LLC, a producer-owned primary pork processing plant in St. Joseph, Missouri. In turn, Triumph Foods members own 50 percent of Daily's Premium Meats, a specialty pork processor of bacon and other premium pork products. Triumph Foods also holds a 50 percent partnership in Seaboard Triumph Foods, LLC of Sioux City, Iowa, a primary pork processing plant.\n
Position Overview & Responsibilities:\n
Responsible for the safe, accurate and timely delivery of feed to the appropriate sites. \n
Major Areas of Accountability:\n\nResponsible for the safe, accurate, and timely delivery of feed to sow, nursery, finish or wean to finish site as designated on the daily truck schedules.\nResponsible for driving with the standards set by management:\n\nFollow all highway regulations, (i.e. speed limits, yields, stops, no passing zones, etc.)\nDrive at 5-10 mph below the posted speed limits in all towns.\nNo jake braking in town.\nAlways drive with headlights on.\nAlways wear seatbelts.\nNo riders\/passengers unless it is a CFF employee and has been authorized.\nBe courteous on the road.\nRespect the producers' properties.\nRespect the equipment\/trucks.\nResponsible for having scheduled hours covered each week.\nSafe and courteous driving at all times.\nParticipate in safety meetings.\nRespectful of Company & Contract Partners Property.\nBe alert, attentive and fit for operation of equipment, loading and unloading of equipment, and working within and around company and customer facilities.\nConduct yourself with honesty and integrity at all times.\n\n\n\n
Vehicle Care and Maintenance:\n\nResponsible for washing trucks as scheduled and maintaining clean vehicles.\nResponsible for completing a vehicle inspection prior to operating any equipment and reporting any repairs needing to be made to the Manager. (see checklist)\nResponsible for the care and inventory of all tools and equipment assigned to the driving unit.\n\n
Other\/Miscellaneous:\n\nAssist in other areas of the mill if needed\/requested. Areas may include: mill ops, maintenance, truck shop\/wash, etc.\nResponsible for repairing minor damages to the feed bins.\nResponsible for keeping accurate, easy-to-read records including log books, feed delivered to producers, trip reports, vehicle inspection sheet, etc.\nHelp maintain cleanliness, neatness and safety of work area and building.\nResponsible for safekeeping of valuable goods in transit.\nTrained in HACCP as provided by Company's HACCP Coordinator.\n\nPersonal Requirements:\n\nCooperative attitude and a teamwork approach are essential. \nTakes pride in quality of work. \nAbility to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment. \nDemonstrate a positive customer service mindset. \nTreat equipment with respect and drive in a careful and courteous manner. \nSupport company mission and values.\n\n
Knowledge and Skills Required:\n\nPossession and maintenance of a valid commercial driver's license according to the regulations prescribed by the federal DOT and the state of Minnesota.\nMust be able to successfully meet all requirements outlined for federal DOT qualifications, to include passage of a physical examination, satisfactory driving record and reference check; passage of drug\/alcohol testing and all other requirements laid out in the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulation. \n\n
Education, Training, and Experience Requirements:\n\nPosition contingent on meeting all Motor Vehicle and CF Insurer requirements and possess a desirable driving record. Class A CDL required. Ability to understand and follow driving instructions and road maps.\n\n
